Question to the Department for Transport:
To ask His Majesty's Government what assessment they have made of the recent rise in car insurance premiums; and what assessment they have made of the impact of this rise on motorists.

It is the responsibility of individual motor insurers to set their premiums along with the terms and conditions of their policies. The Government does not intervene or seek to control the market.
