Question to the Cabinet Office:

To ask His Majesty's Government, further to the remarks by the Chief Secretary to the Prime Minister on 3 June (HC Deb col 1261), what subsequent assessment they have made of the (1) source, and (2) authenticity, of the WhatsApp messages with Lord Mandelson that were reported by the Spectator but were not addressed in volumes I or II of the government response to the Humble Address; and whether such text messages were previously held by the Cabinet Office.
