Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:

To ask His Majesty's Government what steps they are taking to ensure that access to NHS sight tests under the general ophthalmic services arrangements remain nationally standardised and not subject to local variation.

Integrated care boards currently commission NHS sight testing services to contract terms set in regulations, with fees also set nationally through directions. There are no plans to move away from this approach.
