To ask His Majesty's Government what assessment they have made of using deep-learning AI models to synthesise heat and drought resistant crops.

The Defra-funded Food, Farming & Natural Environment Climate Service provides climate modelling services and develops evidence on climate adaptation (including investigating drought and heat impacts on crops) to strengthen agri-food sector resilience and breeding approaches. No specific assessment has been made of using deep learning AI models.
