Question to the Department for Business, Innovation, Science and Trade:

To ask His Majesty's Government what plans they have, if any, to restore the legislative provisions requiring limited liability partnerships to provide additional address information which were revoked by the Register of Overseas Entities (Protection and Trusts) and Limited Liability Partnerships (Application of Company Law) (Amendment) Regulations 2026 (SI 2026/778).

The Government intends to reinstate the requirement for limited liability partnerships (“LLPs”) to provide additional address information. As Companies House systems did not have the capability to receive the information, the requirement had to be removed in July 2026. In the meantime, LLPs must still provide a principal office address in these cases. The requirement will be commenced for both LLPs and companies in due course.
