Data is not held on the number of people who have accessed urgent dental centres (UDCs). NHS England and NHS Improvement set up UDCs to meet need for urgent dental treatment while routine treatment was suspended during the peak of the pandemic and to support practice-based care during the gradual restart underway since 8 June. Over 600 UDCs remain open to support dental practices in England.
