Scottish Parliament Written Question
S6W-27930
Thursday 13th June 2024

Asked by: Regan, Ash (Alba Party - Edinburgh Eastern)

Question

Answered by Gray, Neil - Cabinet Secretary for NHS Recovery, Health and Social Care

As stated in the answer to question S6W-27820 on 11 June 2024, I can confirm the Digitisation of records is an operational responsibility of individual Health Boards GP practices and Local Authorities, and their partner organisations commissioned to deliver care. At a national level and building on the existing use of electronic record systems, we are focussed on allowing records to be stored, linked, and shared securely.

Our national work recognises, however, that we need to improve the way this works for people across Scotland in a nationally consistent manner. As set out in our integrated health & social care record and a digital front door so that we can introduce a national approach to improving the process for accessing care records for care experienced people, and those around them.

Scottish Parliament Written Question
S6W-27903
Wednesday 12th June 2024

Asked by: Greene, Jamie (Scottish Conservative and Unionist Party - West Scotland)

Question

To ask the Scottish Government whether it will provide an update on what measures it will put in place to increase the rate of housebuilding in Scotland.

Answered by McLennan, Paul - Minister for Housing

We are conscious of the ongoing global issues affecting construction which are impacting the pace of housing delivery and remain focused on our target of delivering 110,000 high quality, energy efficient affordable homes by 2032. The £80m over two years announced on 26 April takes our investment in affordable housing in 2024-25 to nearly £600m, which will deliver social and affordable homes across Scotland, including acquisitions.

The recently established Housing Investment Taskforce will, over the course of financial year 2024/25, work to identify actions that will unlock both existing and new commitments to investment in housing across all tenures, bringing together key interests of investors and investees.

Following recent legal proceedings, we will shortly provide a message to stakeholders relating to policy 16 of National Planning Framework. In addition, we are working with stakeholders on a series of cross-sector actions to ensure those involved collectively play a positive part in housing delivery.
