Asked by: Jim Shannon (Democratic Unionist Party - Strangford)
Question to the Department for Levelling Up, Housing & Communities:
To ask the Secretary of State for Housing, Communities and Local Government, what recent representations he has received on the effect on the health of the UK population of poor air quality, ventilation, lighting and acoustics in home building; and if he will make a statement.
Answered by Kit Malthouse
The Department regularly receives correspondence on a range of issues with respect to the Building Regulations and matters relating to the indoor environment. I am aware of work that the All Party Parliamentary Group on Healthy Homes and Buildings has been doing in this area and would be happy to meet the group to discuss the issues further.
