We are regular everyday citizens who see that the UK is working towards refreshing the relationship with our closest trading partner which is the EU. We might be British but we feel aligned with Europe and would like to see the Euro being adopted here.

(Estimated Final Signatures: 211 - 1 added in the past 24hrs)
Stop taxing petrol and diesel. Freedom of movement is a fundamental human right. We believe the petrol and diesel combustion engine is what fuels our freedom and we shouldn’t be taxed on one of our basic human rights.
Raise the income tax allowance from £12,570 to £18,000

(Estimated Final Signatures: 209 - 1 added in the past 24hrs)
A previous petition asking to raise income tax allowance to £20,000 was debated in May. The government said this would cost them funding to support hospitals, schools and other public institutions which I think sounds fair. I think raising it to £18,000 will leave the govt funding it still needs.

(Estimated Final Signatures: 176 - 2 added in the past 24hrs)
We want a Manifesto (Fiscal) Accountability Act for a Total Tax Lock. This must require a two-thirds majority in the House of Commons for rises in Income Tax, NI, VAT, and Corporation Tax not in a government's manifesto, and an Anti-Fiscal Drag Clause to mandate threshold uprating with inflation.

With the cost of living still high, we believe there’s strong cross-party and public pressure for tax relief.

Introduce a wealth tax on people with a £50 million+ net worth

(Estimated Final Signatures: 157 - 2 added in the past 24hrs)
Introduce a wealth tax on anyone that has a net worth above £50million. We believe this would mean wealth cannot be transferred or avoided nearly as easily and could help reduce wealth inequality. Since COVID, the wealth of billionaires has risen.
