To ask His Majesty's Government what benefits the trade deal with India will bring to the UK.

A trade deal with India will deliver on this Government’s core mission of economic growth that raises living standards and puts money in people's pockets.

This agreement will unlock new opportunities for businesses in every corner of the UK, increase bilateral trade by £25.5bn, increase UK GDP by £4.8bn and boost wages by £2.2bn each and every year in the long run.

Through striking this deal, we are also supporting the high-growth sectors outlined in the Industrial Strategy – unlocking new opportunities for them to expand.

Baroness Gustafsson
Minister of State (Department for Business and Trade)
