Question to the Cabinet Office:

To ask His Majesty's Government whether the Chief Secretary to the Treasury approved the salary of the Prime Minister’s Chief of Staff as per the senior pay controls process.

Following his appointment as the Prime Minister’s Chief of Staff, senior pay control processes were followed and the Chief Secretary to the Treasury provided salary approval.
