Written Question
Football
Wednesday 2nd July 2014

Asked by: Lord Faulkner of Worcester (Labour - Life peer)

Question to the Department for Work and Pensions:

To ask Her Majesty's Government what responses they have had to their approach to Premier League and Football League clubs about the provision of access for disabled people to their grounds; and whether they will publish them.

Answered by Lord Freud

Twelve football clubs have responded to the Minister of State for Disabled People's letter about inclusive and accessible stadia. We do not feel that it would be appropriate to publish these letters at this time. My Department and Department for Culture, Media and Sport are working together to ensure that our national game, and other spectator sports, take their responsibilities seriously when catering for disabled supporters.
