To ask His Majesty's Government what steps they are taking to prevent the homelessness to prison cycle.

The Government’s Rough Sleeping Strategy published in September 2022 and published here: https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/ending-rough-sleeping-for-good), sets out, in section 4.1, how we are delivering our aim that no one should leave prison homeless or to sleep rough.

Question to the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government:

To ask Her Majesty's Government whether the Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) requirement for housing applies to housing units in the UK provided for the armed forces.

Answered by Lord Greenhalgh

The requirement to obtain an Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) applies to housing units in the UK provided for the armed forces. However, the Energy Performance of Buildings Regulations specify that general access data need not be disclosed on the EPC Register if it relates to an excluded building, which includes buildings owned, occupied or used by or for the purposes of any of the armed forces.
