Question to the Ministry of Defence:

To ask His Majesty's Government how standards for artificial intelligence safety, assurance and interoperability developed through the United Kingdom–United States AI and Autonomy partnership will relate to their work on global artificial intelligence principles and standards.

Building on our existing UK-US defence cooperation, this partnership will focus on AI and autonomy collaboration, to help protect critical national infrastructure, from sea lanes to airspace. It will accelerate the delivery of trusted, interoperable capabilities that strengthen deterrence and maintain both nations' technological edge.

The UK is demonstrating leadership in the efficient, responsible and safe deployment of AI.
