Cultural Heritage: Historic Environment Records and Planning Permission
Monday 20th January 2025

Asked by: Lord Parkinson of Whitley Bay (Conservative - Life peer)

Question to the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government:

To ask His Majesty's Government when they plan to commence sections (1) 102, and (2) 230, of the Levelling-up and Regeneration Act 2023.

Answered by Baroness Taylor of Stevenage - Baroness in Waiting (HM Household) (Whip)

The Government is reviewing heritage planning policy in the context of wider reforms to the planning system. As part of that work we will consider the outstanding measures from the Levelling-up and Regeneration Act 2023. An announcement on the way forward will be made in due course.
