A Bill to make provision for a minimum distance between wind turbines and residential premises according to the size of the wind turbine, and for connected purposes.
During second reading of the Bill on 10 June, a wide-ranging discussion took place on issues including the effect of wind turbines on rural areas and meeting the UK's renewable energy targets.The 2010-12 session of parliament has prorogued and this Bill will make no further progress.
