Any green manifesto has to cover our mining, transport, and manufacturing of materials, and our reduction reuse and recycling of waste - 2 sides of the same coin. Time for a circular economy @serauk @LukePollard https://t.co/8Sd5Ow4SdP

I can’t help feeling commanding a ship is a bit like dealing with a virus pandemic- you have to anticipate what will happen and act before the crisis becomes overwhelming- you can’t just stop. https://t.co/Yp0cEkPTd7

I am really looking forward to taking an active part in this timely conference- no exaggeration to say that the future of democracy is in our hands https://t.co/6PXQ7Suref

Suffolk Tory suggests they are green- “We are moving towards electric vehicles” - and then criticises @IpswichGov - but Ipswich has ALREADY invested in electric vehicles - Tories have been “moving towards” being green for 15 years - I can’t see much progress @IpswichLabour

Push the Government for a better deal for our police; support bus services and Park & Ride; NOT waste money on outsourced schemes such as “Suffolk Circle” or “Barley Homes”; etc etc

It is particularly silly for County Tories to use their position to attack Labour - they’ve been in control of the County since 2005 and of the Country since 2010. If you want to talk about what we would have done- Expand Childrens Centres not close them; empower Public Health...

They underestimate their reserves and overestimate their spending every year, year after year, and the reserves go up and up and up. Yes of course we must be careful not to overspend, but CAB etc could make lives better for a small additional income @suffolklabour

#suffolk County Council Tories STILL don’t get it about reserves - this time last year they predicted there would be £132 million in reserves this spring - in fact there’s £145 million-that’s £13 million they could have spent but didn’t- this has happened virtually every year

#suffolk County Budget - “we now all understand the importance of Public Health” - well yes, but if only it been properly financed and given enough powers we could have saved hundreds of lives @suffolklabour
