Wednesday 24th June 2015

Asked by: Alec Shelbrooke (Conservative - Wetherby and Easingwold)

Question to the Northern Ireland Office:

To ask the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland, what steps the Government is taking to strengthen and rebalance the Northern Ireland economy.

Answered by Ben Wallace

The Government has made significant commitments to help rebalance the Northern Ireland economy through both the Economic Pact and the Stormont House Agreement.

This includes passing legislation to devolve corporation tax powers and providing up to £700million of additional borrowing to help restructure the public sector.
