Question to the Department for Exiting the European Union :

To ask the Secretary of State for Exiting the European Union, whether the English language would cease to be an official language of the EU after the UK's withdrawal from the EU.

Answered by Robin Walker

While the UK will maintain an interest, any decision on official languages of the EU after the UK’s withdrawal will be one to be taken by the EU institutions and their Member States.
