Question to the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government:
To ask the Secretary of State for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities, with reference to paragraph 4.1 of his Department's guidance entitled Levelling Up Fund Round 2: explanatory note on the assessment and decision-making process published on 19 January 2023, which representatives from No. 10 attended meetings to discuss the shortlist of bids in Round 2 of the Levelling Up Fund.
Answered by Dehenna Davison
Further to the answer I gave to Question UIN 129836 on 26 January 2023, the department has published an Explanatory Note detailing the approach to assessment and decision making, the list of successful applicants, and a geographic and thematic summary analysis of successful and unsuccessful bids. The department is currently providing feedback to unsuccessful bidders. Once that process is complete, and alongside further details being announced on Round 3 of the fund, the department may judge to set out further information.
The total grant amount allocated to date under the Levelling Up Fund programme is £3.8 billion. £1.7 billion was allocated under Round 1, and a further £2.1 billion was allocated under Round 2.

Unsuccessful applicants to this second round will be provided written feedback to support future applications into levelling up funds.
