European Union Referendum Bill
"I will attempt to draw the statistically based interventions together into a broader point: young people turn out to vote less than older people, and we should all be concerned about that. We are all in the business of looking for ways to improve that situation...."Chloe Smith - View Speech

European Union Referendum Bill
"The hon. Gentleman makes a sound point. Voting is a habit that is formed early, and we ought to treat it as such. The franchise is but one element of all that we should do to encourage young people to take an early interest in politics and to sustain that …..."Chloe Smith - View Speech

European Union Referendum Bill
"Unfortunately, mathematically my hon. Friend may well be right. I am endeavouring to avoid the dry maths, but her prediction may be correct. She returns me to my key point: we need to do more than just concern ourselves with percentages, turnout rates and franchises if we are to address …..."Chloe Smith - View Speech

Question
to the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office:
To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs, what recent reports he has received on Iran's nuclear enrichment activities.
Answered by Tobias Ellwood
The UK and other members of the Board of Governors of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) receive quarterly reports on Iran's nuclear programme, the IAEA's efforts to address the Possible Military Dimensions (PMD) of Iran’s nuclear programme, and the nuclear aspects of the Joint Plan of Action with the E3+3. On 29 May 2015, the IAEA Director General issued his latest report on the status of Iran’s nuclear programme. This confirms Iran continues to implement its commitments under the JPOA.

Question
to the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office:
To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs, whether the dismantlement of Iran's advanced centrifuges has been discussed during nuclear talks between the P5+1 and Iran.
Answered by Tobias Ellwood
It remains the Government’s policy not to comment on the detail of the nuclear negotiations while they are continuing. We - and our partners - recognise the impact of advanced centrifuges on our objective of extending the time it would take Iran to acquire nuclear material for a weapon to at least a year; and have factored this into our approach to the negotiations.
