The Facility delivers humanitarian and development assistance through existing EU instruments to meet the objectives articulated in the EU Turkey Joint Action Plan of October 2015. The UK is a member of the Facility Steering Committee. Funds will be monitored through existing governance and fiduciary controls.

DFID’s response to the immediate humanitarian crisis in Europe has been a crucial element of HMG’s overall migration strategy. The UK will continue to work alongside international partners to tackle the migration crisis, including through programmes such as the EU-Turkey Facility.
