To ask the Secretary of State for Scotland, what meetings his Department has had with (a) the Scottish Trade Unions Congress, (b) individual STUC-affiliated trades unions, (c) the Convention of Scottish Local Authorities and (d) other public bodies on trade union reform and the Trade Union Bill in the last six months.

Both I, my ministerial colleague Lord Dunlop and my officials have met with the STUC, STUC-affiliated trade unions, CoSLA and public bodies over the last six months and discussed a range of matters including trade union reform and the Trade Union Bill. These meetings have taken place on the following dates:

  • 17 August 2015;
  • 18 August 2015.

My Rt hon Friend, Nick Boles, Minister of State for Business Innovation and Skills and officials met with the STUC to discuss trade union reform and the Trade Union Bill on:

  • 7 September 2015;
  • 18 August 2015.

Over the last 12 months my Department has engaged (a) twice with the Scottish Trade Union Congress and (b) twice, at roundtable events with several affiliated unions.
