Aerospace Industry
Thursday 7th September 2017

Asked by: Daniel Kawczynski (Conservative - Shrewsbury and Atcham)

Question to the Department for Exiting the European Union :

To ask the Secretary of State for Exiting the European Union, what recent discussions his Department has had with the aerospace industry on the negotiations for the UK leaving the EU.

Answered by Robin Walker

Stakeholder engagement is a central element of our plan to build a national consensus around our negotiating position.

This department has been listening and talking to aerospace manufacturers and industry groups across the UK and internationally, including Rolls Royce, Airbus, GKN, GE and ADS.

We are also working closely with the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy and the Ministry of Defence to ensure we have regular dialogue with the aerospace industry. This includes Ministerial attendance at the Aerospace Growth Partnership.
