Question to the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government:
To ask the Secretary of State for Housing, Communities and Local Government, what progress his Department has made on extending the right to buy scheme to housing association tenants across England.
Answered by Dominic Raab
The Government is committed to ensuring that housing association tenants achieve the aspiration of home ownership, and to the voluntary agreement reached with housing associations.
In the Autumn Budget 2017 the Government announced a £200 million voluntary Right to Buy regional pilot in the Midlands. This will give thousands more housing association tenants the opportunity to enjoy the benefits of home ownership.
