Question to the Department for Digital, Culture, Media & Sport:
To ask the Secretary of State for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport, what conditions he has (a) imposed and (b) indicated an intention to impose on the planned use of part of Victoria Tower Gardens for the Holocaust Memorial and Learning Centre.
Answered by Michael Ellis
The Government decided to locate the Holocaust Memorial and Learning Centre in Victoria Tower Gardens so that the view of Parliament from the Memorial will serve as a permanent reminder of the far-reaching consequences of political decisions. The development of plans will take proper account of relevant legislation and regulations.
