The very same people moaning who facilitated this attack by creating a ‘rewards for war’ environment. https://t.co/y37DGrZxDA

That two-step process is obvious. Retake the commercial and transportation assets and free the tribal areas that are illegally occupied (freeing the people). Then offer the rebel forces with much-reduced access to Iranian weapons of death a path to peace.

"The war can't be won" I hear deluded western politicians say. #Yemen. The truth is "peace cannot be secured without military action" because 6 years of peace talks have failed due to the rebels actively pursuing war (and state capture) as policy (which has paid huge dividends).

#Yemen the idea that there is a year zero policy on Yemen. That Iranian backed Islamist extremist rebels can keep the profits of war and oppress other occupied tribes is lunacy. As is the state departments black and white analysis “no military solution to Yemen”.

@potus grand gesture already unraveling. Not clear state department agree with Biden’s policy. Without air superiority, Houthi rebels able to amass a large army & push south. Only Arab Coalition planes stop that happening - &the gross human rights abuses following occupation. https://t.co/x89VBSuBuu

A clear and informed warning from #Yemen expert (& a Yemeni) on Biden’s @POTUS gamble and how its hard to see a path to a resolution of the crisis which is a miltary and political crisis. The humanitarian crisis is as a consequence of the miltary and political crisis. https://t.co/1ibUk0HBWk

What impact will Biden’s policy on Saa’na have on the JCPOA which Biden wishes to renogotiate. Bidens ‘good faith’ annoucement on #Yemen has put the issue (long range missiles) on the JCPOA table and risks weakening International foreign policy discussions with Tehran.

2 primary challenges in #Yemen are strengthing the currency to lower food prices for all & bringing about stable governance. KSA have been persuing such a policy pumping $billions into the banking system and liberating the ports. Hard to see how Biden understands these issues.
