Strengthening the Union as it Relates to Wales (First sitting)

"Dwi’n ddiolchgar iawn i’r Ysgrifennydd Gwladol am ildio. Ar nodyn hanesyddol, byddai Lloyd George yn dweud nad oedd yn dweud llawer o ddim byd am y pum munud cyntaf, er mwyn caniatáu i’r Siambr lenwi, wrth gwrs. Credaf bod hyn yn esiampl. Tra mae wrthi yn gwneud y diolchiadau, ydy’r …..."

Strengthening the Union as it Relates to Wales (First sitting)

"Onid ydy hyn yn codi allan o ryw ddryswch sylfaenol sy’n cael ei arddangos gan y Llywodraeth ac, yn wir, gan yr Wrthblaid swyddogol? Hynny yw, eu bod nhw’n aml iawn yn cymysgu buddiannau Prydain a Lloegr. Dw i’n meddwl y gwnaethon ni glywed Aelod anrhydeddus dros De Clwyd yn …..."

" In 2019, before visiting Wales, the Prime Minister said: “I will always back Britain’s great farmers”. Now it looks as if he is backing Australia’s farmers instead, so will he keep to his word, clearly back Welsh farmers and permanently rule out tariff-free access for Australian lamb and beef …..."

Written Question
Coronavirus: Wales
Wednesday 11th November 2020

Asked by: Hywel Williams (Plaid Cymru - Arfon)

Question to the Wales Office:

To ask the Secretary of State for Wales, pursuant to Answer of 14 October to the Question 907297, if he will publish data on the Barnett consequential of each covid-19 funding announcement made for England.

Answered by Lord Hart of Tenby

The Government has provided the Welsh Government with a funding guarantee of at least a further £5 billion this year to respond to Covid-19. We published information on Barnett consequentials with the Main Estimates for 2020-21. We will provide further information with the 2020-21 Supplementary Estimates, which will be published later in the financial year.
