Question to the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government:

To ask the Secretary of State for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities, if he will (a) commence section 123 of the Levelling-up and Regeneration Act 2023 and (b) consult on draft regulations under that section.

The Government is moving quickly to commence section 123 of the Levelling-up and Regeneration Act 2023 in due course and will consult with the sector and local authorities when bringing regulations under section 2A subsection (5A) of the Self-build and Custom Housebuilding Act 2015, as amended by section 123 of the Levelling-up and Regeneration Act 2023.
