Question to the Department for Transport:

To ask the Secretary of State for Transport, how many vehicles the DVLA clamped in each month of the most recent year for which figures are available.

The table below provides a monthly breakdown of the number of vehicles that the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency (DVLA) has clamped for the financial year 2014-15. The DVLA may also authorise others, such as, the police or local authority to take enforcement action against vehicles that are unlicensed.

To ask the Secretary of State for Transport, what the total value of contracts his Department has with private sector providers was in each of the last five years for which records are available.

Since January 2011, as part of the Government’s transparency programme, details of procurement opportunities, tender documents and contracts worth over £10,000 are published online on Contracts Finder (https://www.gov.uk/contracts-finder). The Crown Commercial Service (CCS) also publishes details of its contracts on its web site (http://ccs.cabinetoffice.gov.uk/).
