Question to the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office:

To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs, what recent representations he has made to the government of Qatar about alleged abuse of migrant workers in that country.

We welcome the steps taken by the Qatari government in response to concerns about the treatment of migrant workers and continue to discuss implementation with them. I raised this issue with them during my visit to Doha on 15 October.
