@katjdenham Oh dear! Daisy would like to cheer you up.... ! https://t.co/0cKD0zmWMC
@laurapurkess How exciting! And ‘homes for life’ are all the rage now, so maybe you’ll never have to move again?!
To add insult to injury, this lady was underpaid state pension for over a decade and now she’s got it back as a lump sum she’s going to lose help with rent / council tax https://t.co/JhO91Jy4oV
@Kim77899829 Worth inquiring- person whose name they are in has to agree the transfer. Let me know how you get on?
@HeatherMassey2 It’s no different to putting it in a newspaper that people have to buy! And people can register for a free trial. But you can read (free!) information on the LCP website here: https://t.co/DZYyi6U3OP
One more to the total! ? https://t.co/KtkI1uSwek
@shaunkirtley @pensionmonkey @MyMoneyAlive If your spouse checks her NI record online for the years in question it could save a call https://t.co/ZwlFbwkXeT
@shaunkirtley @MyMoneyAlive These days, high earners can opt for ‘credits only’, which means NI credits happen but no hassle of a tax charge. Today’s story is the wider issue about simply having the CB in the ‘wrong’ name.
@AmosIrishdaz You can check your NI record online - if there are years when one partner has gaps and the other partner was paying NICs and getting credits from CB you can fill in Form CF411a and get it switched.
One couple I spoke to realised close to retirement they had child benefit in the ‘wrong name’ - switching it added £40 pw to the wife’s state pension with no impact on the husband’s https://t.co/LGK3vCHnhO
