To ask the Secretary of State for International Trade, what steps his Department has taken to reduce its use of single-use plastics.
Answered by Greg Hands
The Department for International Trade is committed to reducing its use of single-use plastics and is actively taking steps to achieve this.
At our London headquarters, we have already replaced plastic food containers from our catering services, with bio-degradable alternatives.
We will continue to work with the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs and our suppliers to remove single-use plastics from our office estate.

DIT's digital platform provides advice, information and support to exporting businesses on a one to one basis through locally based International Trade Advisors (ITA). The nearest ITA to Colne Valley is based in Huddersfield. Any issues raised, including any about the post EU environment are fed into the DIT Trade Policy team in London.
DIT Trade Policy and DexEU staff hold meetings across the country to listen to views and concerns of businesses.
