Question to the Department for International Development:
To ask the Secretary of State for International Development, what assessment she has made of the effectiveness of UK aid to people displaced by the crisis in Syria.

UK aid is making a real difference in Syria, providing life-saving and life-changing support to millions of people displaced inside Syria, and millions more who have taken refuge in neighbouring countries.
Since 2012, UK aid supplied over 26 million food rations that feed a person for a month, and 10.3 million medical consultations that can mean the difference between life and death.

To ask the Secretary of State for International Development, pursuant to the Answer of 25 May 2016 to Question 37198, how many of the leaflets entitled Why the Government believes that voting to remain in the European Union is the best decision for the UK have been returned to her Department; and what the postage cost to the Government has been of such returns.

To ask the Secretary of State for International Development, how many civil servants in her Department are members of trades unions; how much working hours facility time is claimed by each such civil servant; and what the cost of that facility time is to her Department.

Information on trade union membership is held by individual trade unions. The Cabinet Office publishes data relating to Civil Service facility time on a quarterly basis. The latest data is Quarter 4, 2014 at and is available at https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/trade-union-facility-time.
