We seek a national policy for treatment of eating disorders:

Mandatory protocols in compliance with evidence-based practices (NICE 1.3);
Expeditious timeframes for assessment/referral/treatment;

Mandate allowing families to participate in planning for treatment, therapy, and discharge;

Minimum discharge standard of 100% weight-for-height based on personal growth charts;

Stipulation for staff training on ED behaviors and co-morbids;

Training for school personnel in basic assessment criteria (NICE 1.2)
