Allow existing Ambulance Staff Career progression without being penalised

The new pay deal in the NHS is detrimental to existing Ambulance staff who wish to progress with their career. This pay deal will have the effect of hampering staff development/promotion and this could lead to a skills shortage in the next few years of experienced ambulance personnel.

The new NHS Pay deal included 7 words which will hamper the development of ambulance staff as any existing member of staff who has a "changes of roles (including promotion)." will be forced to a new way of being paid their unsocial hours allowance which will be detrimental for certain staff and incur the loss of up to £2.5K.

We want existing Ambulance staff to be able to progress in their careers without fear of changes to their terms and conditions and to their unsocial hours pay.
