The wage for the men and women that protect our country should be raised

According to the MOD website, a private which is in an infantry regiment starts on £18,859 (after training), which is too low when you take into consideration that when they're on operational tour, abroad or on home turf, they're risking their lives for the benefit of our well being.

I think that this should be raised and that the minimum wage for anyone who's got a full time job in the armed forces should be at least £21,000. This would also possibly increase the amount of people that want to join the armed forces as £18,000 just simply isn't enough for the risks that you have to take.
