With continued under funding of NHS services it is time to address how the NHS is funded. A separate NHS Funding Tax that's raised funds are ring fenced for NHS Service delivery would appeal to the tax payer as it would be a transparent / secure service tax.

Tax would have to reflect the NHS running cost and would have to move with cost changes. A solid auditing body answerable to government would have to be in place to ensure value for money and fair investment.
