As the British Government are declaring an environmental emergency due to climate change and it is proven that the biggest impact on the environment is when we fly then companies should pay a large environmental tax fee every time they fly an employee somewhere. Technology can provide other options

Our Carbon footprint (Specifically our footprint when we fly – see: Reducing your carbon footprint when you fly on the BBC) is large and if you fly Business / First class it is even bigger than economy.
I propose that companies paying for employees to fly must pay a % of the ticket cost to help offset the impact but the aim would be for companies to consider alternatives like Video conferencing and so on. Business travel should have alternative options due to technological advancements.
