Create new £2.4 billion care fund for Dementia and Alzheimer patients

I agree with the Alzheimer's Society and a cross-party group of 68 MPs that there should be a new £2.4 billion NHS "Dementia fund" to help Dementia patients with ‘unfair and unsustainable’ care costs. Sufferers be given a personal budget of thousands of pounds a year.

The NHS is a valuable commodity that provides free treatment of diseases to the many patients across the board eg cancer but when it comes down to Dementia and Alzheimer patients that have to relinquish their independence through no fault of their own and have to pay for care at home and eventually go into a care home paying more money as extra care needed and are using all their savings and sometimes losing their home! This isn't right or fair when they have worked all their life and have saved for their retirement and others that haven't get it for free! My mum was diagnosed a year ago with Vascular Dementia and Alzheimer's disease and paying £1666.00 a mth for care to keep her at home. Please help and sign this petition for my mum and many others. Thank you x.
