Ban landlords and letting companies from charging renting tenants “pet fees”

After talking to several letting companies it’s been stated that “pet fees” are another way of gaining money off tenants, now letting fees are scraped. Excessive noise complaints and damages are covered in contracts and deposits so these large fees are grossly unnecessary and are penalizing renters.

Some companies charge a £30 a month pet fee, that continues as long as you choose to live there. This is £360 extra a year, on top of pet insurance and day to day care it is preventing a huge proportion of renters from owning a pet.
