'The primary role of UK Sport is to strategically invest National Lottery & Exchequer income to maximise the performance of UK Athletes in the Olympic & Paralympic Games'. Deaflympics are the longest running multi-sport event excluding the Olympics themselves. My name is Nathan Young and I am a deaf swimmer. I have just returned from Sao Paulo, Brazil were I represented my country at the World Deaf Swimming Championships. I had to raise £5,000 alongside my training. Where's the equality in that?
