cease the taxation of pensions of alzheimers and vascular dementia sufferers

My mother was diagnosed with alzheimers and vascular dementia had to sell her home to pay for the care home that she is in, yet she still has to pay tax on her pensions (private and state). Payment of Tax should be exempt for dementia suffers to help pay towards the cost.
