Energy drinks are addictive due to the high amounts of caffeine and sugar. They affect cortisol levels, mood, and cognition. Energy drinks can increase depression due to the sugar crash, affect motivation and lead to anxiety due to high levels of sugar. It is known they cause organ problems too!
