The Armenian Genocide, despite leading to the deaths of approx 1.5million people and displacement of millions more, is still not formally recognised by the UK government. This is despite recognition from historians, academic institutions on the Holocaust and genocide studies. Whilst the government do not deny its factuality, it should formally recognise the events that occurred in the early 20th century.
