The government guidance for free school meal vouchers is only for children whose family receive benefits. This fails to give provisions to those who can not afford to loose the universal free school meal given to reception to year 2 aged children. Please honour the vouchers for these children too.

All children given the universal school meal (reception - year 2) should be given the option to collect the lunch voucher each week, if they deem themselves in need of this assistance.
Currently parents are undertaking the role of home schooling and providing additional materials, it would seem only right that the government continues to support the lunch provisions for these young children if they are required, as not all families in serious need at this time are able to claim benefits.
