Require companies to repay coronavirus financial support if they breach UK laws

Implement a strong deterrent to businesses who are deliberately breaching UK law, such as The Package Travel and Linked Travel Arrangements Regulations 2018. Any companies that breach UK law should have to repay financial support from schemes such as the Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme, in full.

Many companies are failing to comply with UK legislation such as The Package Travel and Linked Travel Arrangements Regulations 2018. It is the responsibility of government to uphold the law of the United Kingdom and protect consumers. Large international companies are breaking the law, yet are able to benefit from the Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme. This is not morally right or fair to consumers or companies who operate in full compliance of the laws of the United Kingdom.
