At present there are significant legal restrictions on how people can protect their property from wild birds. This is a particular issue for pigeon fanciers, whose flocks can be attacked by birds of prey.

Laws around the protection of wild birds should be changed to allow people to take greater action in relation to wild birds that are causing problems, such as damaging property and attacking other animals, including being able to catch and relocate or dispose of the wild birds.
