A significant number of NHS workers are born outside UK. Many come and serve NHS for years having to silently go through the pain of applying visas and work permits for almost 10 years for themselves and families. Some even live years without their family.

Covid-19 has brought a new reality to light. It united the nation and made us realise the sacrifices of thousands of these foreign doctors and nurses tirelessly working to protect out NHS and even sacrificing their lives. Even our Prime Minister praised their dedication after experiencing the care provided by such professionals first hand.
It’s about time we appreciate their efforts fully and save these doctors and nurses from the headache of renewing visas regularly just to keep serving us
