The review should look at whether the current level of awareness and knowledge inhibits effective treatment for infants suffering with GORD. Pathways for GORD should be implemented at a national standard to ensure consistent care across the U.K. Infants across the U.K. are suffering with GORD, living with severe pain, being uncomfortable and causing an increased number of post natal depression in care givers who are unable to comfort the child. Parents are having to fight for support from the NHS for effective treatment.
